Of course, the government will be re-elected by voters in the GTA, the people least affected by Green Energy, notwithstanding high energy costs.
Unplug Wynne has posted this video to explain how you lose:
Kathleen Wynne is trying to trick us again. Down in the polls, she’s playing a shell game, trying to take us for fools. The Wynne government is now claiming they’re cutting our hydro bills, but won’t they won’t say is that we’ll be paying for it with higher tax bills.
It’s a total scam. After raising our hydro bills by over 100 percent over the last few years, she’s giving us a quarter back by taking it from our own pocket.
To carry Ontario power to US, mostly Green Energy. Watch video CTV Report starting at minute 1:00
Ontario Hydro Sells Green Energy cheap.
So, Ontarians pay through the nose for Greed Energy generated by Industrial Wynne Turbines, while the US can buy it at a DEEP discount.
Of course, if they had to pay the real cost, they wouldn’t and we’d be stuck with unusable greed-generated energy.
CO2 can’t cause global warming, reblogged from Quixotes Last Stand;
‘Let’s put this amount of energy in perspective. If we all turned off all our appliances and went and lived in caves, and then devoted every coal, nuclear, gas, hydro, wind and solar power plant to just heating the ocean, it would take a breathtaking 32,000 years to heat the ocean by just this 1˚C!
In short, our influence on our climate, even if we really tried, is miniscule!”
Perhaps, the Carbon Taxes will warm things up?
The citizens of the Island will be in Toronto January 31 this year to appeal the ERT’s decision to allow a major Industrial Wynne Turbine project to continue.
Parker Gallant explains why the project could be a perfectly bad idea for Amherst:
“On its own, cancellation could save Ontario ratepayers over $500 million in future costs. Those contracts, signed years ago, either have not been built or are involved in litigation preventing them from breaking ground. Their sunk costs are small in comparison to their full costs over 20 years and canceling them outright would represent a nominal cost to ratepayers while saving, birds, bats, butterflies and endangered species from harm as well as prevent human health effects, and depreciation to property values.
Cancellation would reduce the amount of surplus energy that is exported at a cost to ratepayers or simply curtailed, but paid for by ratepayers. Savings would be in the billions.”
The article goes on to discuss the history of the Island and its natural wonders. For one, it is the Owl Capital of North America; it’s the first of the 1000 Islands. Fighting to protect the Island is the Association to Protect Amherst Island along with many allies:
“Organizations as diverse as Heritage Canada The National Trust, Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, Kingston Field Naturalists, the Dry Stone Wall Association of Ireland, BirdLife International, the Maryland Ornithological Society, the Hawk Migration Association of North America, Pennsylvania Ornithological Society, and Brereton Field Naturalists’ Club all oppose turbines on Amherst Island.”
Because of draconian laws in Ontario, The Green Energy Act, the powers of local authorities to run their own affairs in the matter were taken away, as they were in every municipality that opposes Wynne Turbines or that is unwilling to host them (this host idea was generated by Ms Wynne-lose herself which amounted to a double-cross just as she double-crossed Toronto on the issue of tolling their main highways, a corrupt attempt to buy her re-election because the GTA elects the government in Ontario.). Because of this unjust and unconstitutional law, the GEA of Ontario did not invoke the notwithstanding law in the Charter of Rights, Wolfe Island has already been destroyed
In conclusion, Parker Gallant
So, Ontario has a “robust supply” of electricity, wind turbines will harm the 34 endangered species, and we are exporting surplus generation at pennies on the dollar while curtailing wind, spilling hydro and steaming off nuclear energy. Ontario doesn’t need the intermittent power from the turbines on Amherst Island. We don’t need them in Prince Edward County either (White Pines) (or Dutton-Dunwich, or La Nation, or North Stormont). The Minister should demonstrate that he means what he said recently in North Bay: “There are some families in this province that are struggling to meet their energy bills. It’s why I’ve recognized and the premier has recognized that we need to do more …That is why we’re making sure we can find ways to reduce bills. Everything is on the table within reason.”
Granting the Appeal in favour of Amherst Island would save a Billion dollars in the bankrupt province of Ontario, but fiscal responsibility is not the Wynne-lose government’s mandate..
First Shame Award given to Wind Company for neglecting Water Resources in Ontario.
Well Water first,Wind, last.
Water Wells First announced the first recipient of their Trojan Horse Award. Boralex.
The Award is a Shame Award intended to draw attention to a company that says they are interested in protecting water but in fact the opposite is true. They do nothing to protect water and even cause Peak Water Crises for local populations where they operate.
Boralex operates the Marsh Line Windfarm in the former Township of Dover. The construction of the windfarm coincided with a number of water wells becoming turbid and now contain black particulates.
Boralex denies responsibility. Denies they understand the concerns of local families financially dependent on the underlying aquifer for their freshwater supply.
Is it safe to assume wind companies consider water to be an unclean resource (because it makes hydro power?).
We invite everyone in SW Ontario to join us at the Baldoon Golf Club on Monday Jan 30th at at 5-8PM, at 7018 Dufferin Rd Wallaceburg, ON to help us give this message to Boralex

Parker Gallant reports on the waste power produced by Industrial Wynne turbones:
The IESO just released the 2016 Electricity Data indicating industrial wind turbines (IWT) were responsible for the generation of 9.0 terawatts (TWh) of power, representing 6% of Ontario demand of 137 TWh.
Here’s the rub: they don’t give you all the facts:
So, here are the facts: power generation from wind cost Ontario’s ratepayers over $1.7 billion (approximately 12% of total generation costs) in 2016 for just over 6% of demand, and will cause ratepayers hydro bills to be further affected negatively. IESO’s responsibility to manage the system through the exercises suggested in their recommendations will cost the system more money, increasing costs just to ensure industrial wind developments are able to extract money from the pockets of Ontario’s ratepayers.
And, there is also the fact that they hide the facts:
What IESO doesn’t say about wind power generation, however, is annoying. IWT generation in 2016 was actually 10.7 TWh when DX (distributor connected) industrial-scale wind turbines or IWTs are included. If the 2.2 TWh of “curtailed” wind is added, the bill to ratepayers was for 13 TWh[emphasis added]. The estimate of curtailed and DX wind comes from Scott Luft who does a remarkable job of tracking what is actually happening with generation. IESO fails to disclose either curtailed or DX generation for whatever reason as they are the settlement agent for all generation in the province.
It’s a shell game? Hide the facts under the swirling walnut shells, now you see it, now you don’t?
Co2 is good for the environment:
Dr. Will Happer shares his hatemail and explains how Co2 is good for you.
Trump meets with Princeton scientist who called ‘global warming’ fears ‘pure belief disguised as science’:
Princeton University physics professor Dr. Will Happer, an outspoken climate skeptic, who has authored 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers, has testified to the U.S. Senate that the Earth is currently in a ‘CO2 ‘famine.’ Happer explained to Congress in 2009: ”Warming and increased CO2 will be good for mankind…’CO2 is not a pollutant and it is not a poison and we should not corrupt the English language by depriving ‘pollutant’ and ‘poison’ of their original meaning,” Happer added.
In 2014, Happer ridiculed “global warming” fears. “The incredible list of supposed horrors that increasing CO2 will bring the world is pure belief disguised as science,” he noted. He also ripped the EPA’s climate policies in 2016, declaring: “
The EPA is just completely bonkers, CO2 will benefit the Earth.”
Happer has also directed his scientific ire at the United Nations, declaring that policies to combat “global warming” are “based on nonsense.” “Policies to slow CO2 emissions are really based on nonsense. We are being led down a false path. To call carbon dioxide a pollutant is really Orwellian. You are calling something a pollutant that we all produce. Where does that lead us eventually?,” he asked.
